having lived in dubai and the region for a while, i am sure you are in for a shock when you actually move in a complete a month in dubai. what you read is not what you get, it is unfortunate the PR spin gets most people. Anyway best of luck, and maybe dubai will treat you well. To me, it is the saddest place on earth to work in.

jay, I am quite aware of the image and ground reality of the place they call dubai… I am bracing for the shocks, but no point going there with absolutely no optimism…
maybe it wont turn out that bad, as there are so many materialistic factors that contribute towards ‘happiness’… maybe I can hope to not end up living the ‘average’ expected dubai life… will wait and see!
