Though this article may appear uninteresting to some, but it has a thought-provoking statement:
“Specialisation is short term-success but it is long-term risk; because as soon as the ecosystem becomes destabilised, you’re the first candidate to go extinct. It’s the generalists that get through“.

really??? actually i hav always thought that being a generalist is not good…and i think i am one…know this a bit know that a bit, but never good at anything. we shall see…=) thanks for this article!

It’s exactly as it says, for the short term, specialisation is greatly desired, it pays well. But when the ecosystem changes, the specialisation may become obsolete…
U shud read Warren Buffet’s writings… especially how he refrained from jump into the dot-com badwagon…
