First week of December, my brother transited via Dubai, on his way to Trivandrum from Atlanta.
So here are some pics from his short stopover trip.

There was the long list of Malls that featured in the places we visited, mostly because they were the easiest to get to, and also that they show a cross section of the people of Dubai.

We also managed to go to our first desert safari in Dubai, one that all the tour operators offer the same package, which includes picking us from home, driving until the desert, dune bashing, camp, dinner, belly dancer etc etc…

It’s gloomy and damp and collllllllllddddd…
… and loving it!
After all, this happens only for a few days a year. Compare that to Singapore or Trivandrum, where you can spend days hoping for some sunshine…!
Surprisingly, it was declared a public holiday today, due to Mr. Bush’s visit. No, not out of respect, but because all the major roads are closed for security reasons. He’ll probably go back thinking it rains here all year round!
